Why do we need to know which is the best drugstore lipstick for us? These are the must have items in our basic makeup kit. When it comes to makeup sometimes you want to try out a certain color to see if it looks good on you, or you are currently on a budget, or you just simply don’t want to spend a bunch of money on makeup then here I have some great recommendations for you, these are lip products of really great quality but will not break the bank.
Now, let’s take a look at my TOP 5 LIPPIES UNDER $5!
Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color: $2.49
Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color is one of the most popular affordable lipsticks, it’s super pigmented and have a semi-matte finish, the staying power is fantastic and the color range is great. There is not much of a scent to it so that’s a great plus for me. I highly recommend it to anyone who’s on a budget but still want a high-quality lipstick. A major competitor to be the best drugstore lipstick. The only negative thing about it is the packaging, it’s not very sturdy and the lipstick bullet sticks out of the tube so every time you open it the cap will get messy if you’re not being careful.
NYX Butter Gloss: $4.99 – the best drugstore lipstick I’ve tried so far.
NYX Butter Gloss is my favorite lip gloss under $5…well probably one of my favorite lip glosses ever! It has decent amount of pigment with various shades for you to choose from, it’s very nourishing and leaves a healthy shine, the most important thing is that it is not sticky or gloopy, feels very lightweight and comfortable, it has a light vanilla/frosting scent so for anyone who loves sweet will definitely enjoy this. This one is the best drugstore lipstick I’ve tried so far.
Essence Matt Matt Lipstick: $3.99
Essence is one of the most affordable brands out there with amazing products. There is no reason why it shouldn’t be on this list. Essence Matt Matt lipstick has fantastic quality with a completely matte finish, very long lasting and does not make your lips feel nasty after a while. I don’t really need a lip pencil with this since it didn’t really bleed on me. The color range stays pretty neutral and wearable with some stunning dark shades.
Nyx Slim Lip Pencil: $3.99
This is in my opinion hands down the best under $5 lip liner there is in the market. Nyx Slim Lip Pencil is not too stiff and the pigment is just right, sometimes I find lipliners are too hard and hard to work with, this one just glides on so smoothly and effortlessly, feels really comfortable on the lips and lasts for a really long time. I use this to either line my lips or fill it in completely and then top it off with a gloss for a no-brainer makeup look. There are also tons of shades for you to choose from, NYX really killed it with the color range of this.
Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Lipstick: $4.99
Here I have a liquid lipstick option for you. This one by Wet n Wild definitely surprised me with the formula, for 5 bucks you get a really decent quality of a liquid lip, this one dries completely matte, kiss-proof, lasts all day, doesn’t flake or peel off your lips. Most of the liquid lips out there are pretty drying, they made my lips suffer and required lots of work afterwards like exfoliating and treatments, the reason why I recommended Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Lipstickis because it didn’t make my lips go crazy after wearing it for a day, and you can’t really beat the price!
If you want to try different colors, if you are new to makeup, these are the best choice for you. Drugstore lipsticks don’t cost much but it doesn’t mean they are of lower quality. So, have you decided the best drugstore lipstick for you?
